  • Analyze how institutional structures systematically marginalized Tutsi in Rwanda’s academia, government, and military, and the emotional impacts on individuals and families.

  • Investigate the historical targeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses as a minority group and the consequences of state-enforced religious conformity.

  • Evaluate how authoritarian control and state surveillance restricted freedoms, reinforced fear, and shaped daily life.
